Prior to joining Skylake Capital, Mr. Battisti was Managing Partner at C5 Capital, a fund focussing in mid to late stage VC investments in the Secure Data Ecosystem.
Before joining C5 Capital, Mr. Battisti worked for 18 years at Intel Capital, an organization he joined in 1998. From 2010 till his leaving in 2016, he was the Managing Director for Western Europe and Israel, as well as a voting member of Intel Capital's worldwide investment committee. IN 2013 Mr. Battisti was appointed as Vice President for Intel Capital.
During the past 20 years, Mr. Battisti worked on a substantial number of transactions which Azure Solutions (acquired by Subex), eTel (acquired by Telecom Austria), Imagination technologies (publicly listed in the LSE), Silicon Hive (acquited by Intel), IPTego (acquited bu Acme Packet), Omek (acquited by Intel), Tribold (acquired by Sigma Systems), FeedHenry (acquired by Red Hat), Tobii (publicly listed in Nasdaq Stockholm), Amplidata (acquired by Western Digital), Velostrata (acquired by Google), iZettle (acquired by Paypal) and many others
Mr. Battisti is a Naval Architect and Marine Engineer having graduated from the Polytechnic School of the University of Sao Paulo. He holds and MBA from INSEAD.
Mr. Sagi brings 11 years of investment banking, venture capital and technology experience to Skylake Capital. Prior to Skylake Capital, Mr. Sagi was a Principal at C5 Capital, where he worked alongside Marcos Battisti. He played key roles in C5 Capital's investments in Panoply, Reduxio Systems, IronNet Cybersecurity, 4iQ, Hazelcast and was involved in the exits of Balabit and Omada.
Prior to his employment at C5 Capital, Mr. Sagi worked as an investment banking professional in various roles, most recently as M&A Manager at KPMG Corporate Finance, where he advised clients on executing M&A transactions in the Technology and Industrial sectors.
As an angel investor, Mr. Sagi invested in a number of successful technology companies including Commsignia, Revolut, Hectare, Freetrade, Panoply, Reduxio Systems, Dataform, Monzo, Seldon Technologies, ZecOps, Yassir Technologies and Grakn.AI.
Mr. Sagi is also trained in computer science and gained hands on development experience while researching and developing cutting edge machine learning solutions for application in quantitative trading systems at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology under the supervision of Dr. Wei Sun. His areas of technology expertise include data and cloud computing infrastructure, applied artificial intelligence, cyber security and emerging automotive technologies.
Mr. Sagi holds an Engineering Degree in Computer Science with specialization in Data Science from the Budapest University of Technology and Economics and an MBA from London Business School with a specialization in Finance and Private Equity.
